Improving West Brom face their toughest test of recent weeks when Manchester United visit the Hawthorns in the evening Premier League game on Saturday.
- Manchester United are unbeaten in their last nine games in all competitions
- Wayne Rooney is one goal short of equalling Sir Bobby Charlton as Manchester United’s all-time leading goalscorer in all competitions

Both sides enjoyed fine wins on Wednesday night. Salomon Rondon scored a 13-minute hat-trick as West Brom picked up their third win in a row with a 3-1 win over Swansea.
Manchester United survived a stern test at Selhurst Park, beating Crystal Palace 2-1 thanks to a late goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. United took the lead in first half stoppage time through Paul Pogba before conceding a 66th minute equaliser from James McCarthur.
Rondon, who has now chalked up 16 goals in the Premier League this season, scored all three of his goals with his head on Wednesday.
West Brom have lost just once in their last six games. They haven’t been beaten at home since Manchester City won there 4-0 on October 29. United have not lost on the road in the Premier League since they were thrashed 4-0 at Chelsea on October 23.
On Wednesday, United were indebted to Ibrahmiovic and Pogba, not just for their goals but for their overall build-up play. Ibrahimiovic has now scored five times in the last five Premier League games having failed to find the net in his previous six.
Jose Mourinho’s side are unbeaten in their last nine games in all competitions. Manchester United lost 1-0 on their most recent trip to the Hawthorns in March. Salomon Rondon scored the only goal midway through the second half after United’s Juan Mata was sent off in the 26th minute.
Earlier in the season, United won 2-0 at Old Trafford. United’s last win at The Hawthorns was in March 2014. Phil Jones, Wayne Rooney and Danny Wellbeck all scored in a 3-0 win.
