Bidwell was part of a three-handed deal involving Tom Simm and Sachin Joshi, which saw the trio walk away with £11,540 each and then play on for the €2,000 Unibet Open Bucharest package added to the prize pool by Unibet Poker.

This £11,540 score is Bidwell’s second five-figure score of the year and of his career with him having won £22,000 in May when he was the runner-up to Lam Trinh in the Genting Poker Series Main Event at Westcliff-On-Sea.

Bidwell defeated Tom Simm heads-up to get his hands on the €2,000 Unibet Open Bucharest package. Simm, a professional golf player by trade, finished as the bridesmaid in last year’s Brighton event, losing out to James “Flushy” Dempsey on that occasion.

Sachin Joshi, a regular at the Brighton Rendezvous casino, was the third-place finisher. The business student has six live cashes during the current year, including two four-figure scores totalling more than £9,000 in October alone.

Other cashes of note were Rauno Tahvonen, the Unibet ambassador, who fell in seventh place for £2,080, which happened to be his fourth Unibet final table appearance of the year, and to Robert Dymek of Poland who was the last online qualifier standing so won a €2,000 Unibet Open Bucharest package in addition to the £2,720 sixth-place money.

Next up for the Unibet live events is the aforementioned Unibet Open Bucharest festival which takes place Nov. 29 – Dec. 3 at the luxurious JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel. This is the final leg of the 2017 tour and satellites to the Main Event are available online at Unibet Poker.

As for the UK tour, the next stop sees Unibet head to the Manchester235 casino in Manchester from Dec. 8-10 for another £40,000 guaranteed event. The buy-in is set at £220 but you can win your way into the tournament via online satellites at Unibet Poker.
